Using the Isolated In the following illustration a computer communicates with

isolated multi-drop converter.

Communicating on a LAN Field devices in the Siemens ACCESS product line that cannot

communicate directly on a LAN, such as Ethernet, can be

connected to the LAN through an Ethernet converter. When

more than 32 field devices are used an isolated multi-drop

converter is also required.
