1 Supplement to Panel PC 670 and 870

Start-up Guide

1.1 Validity

This supplement applies to the equipment supplied with the order numbers:

• Panel PC 670 MLFB No.: 6AV772… and 6AV773…

• Panel PC 870 MLFB No.: 6AV770… and 6AV771…

1.2 Restrictions

• The Windows functions Idle State and Standby Mode must not be active

on the Panel PC when shutting down the operating system.

•

Fast User switch is not recommended for Windows XP.

1.3 Correction of the Start-up Guide

The text in the Panel PC 670 and 870 Start-up Guide, Chapter 2.6.2

Windows NT, Paragraph "Restrictions" should read:

• The LEDs on an externally connected PS/2 keyboard have no function

(applies to keyboard and touch panel units).

• Only the following devices have been approved for connection to USB

interfaces on the front and USB interfaces on the computer unit and

interfaces on the rear side of the decentralized operating unit:

–

external USB keyboard with integrated hub complying to USB

Specification 1.1. No other USB devices may be plugged into the

keyboard hub.

–

external USB keyboards without USB hub

–

standard USB mouse (without special, additional functionality, such as

scrolling wheel).
