intentionally

left unlabeled because the type of media interface depends on which NIM

model

you are using. The blocks are described as follows.

 Special

Function Interface Controller (SFIC) — delivers and receives P/C com

munications.

 NIM controller — translates the communication (between Primitives and the

P/C

communication language).

 Communications

controller — supervises data

transactions between the

and the network host.
