Changing the handsfree/
earpiece volume
You can set the loudspeaker volume for
handsfree talking and the earpiece vol-
ume to five different levels.
In idle status:
t
¢ Handset Volume
r Set the earpiece volume.
s Scroll to the Speaker line.
r Set the handsfree volume.
§Save§ Press display key if necessary
to save the setting perma-
nently.
Setting the volume during a call:
t Press the control key.
r Select volume.
The setting will automatically be saved
after approx. 3 seconds, if not then press
the display key
§Save§.
If t is assigned with another function,
e.g. toggling (
¢ page 31):
§Options§ Open menu.
Volume Select and press §OK§.
Configure setting (see above).
Changing ring tones
u Volume:
You can choose between five volumes
(1–5; e.g. volume 3 = Š) and the
"crescendo" ring tone (6; volume
increases with each ring = ‡).
u Ring tones:
You can select a ring tone from a list of
pre-loaded ring tones.
You can set different ring tones for the fol-
lowing functions:
u External Calls: for external calls
u Internal Calls: for internal calls
u Appointments: for set appointments

u All: the same ring tone for all functions
Settings for individual functions
Set the volume and melody depending on
the type of signalling required.
In idle status:
t
¢ Ringer Settings
q Select setting, e.g. External
Calls and press
§OK§.
r Set volume (1–6).
s Scroll to the next line.
r Select melody.
§Save§ Press the display key to save
the setting.
Additionally for external calls:
Once you have selected the melody, you
can specify a time period when you do not
want the telephone to ring, e.g. during
the night.
Time Control:
Select On or Off.
Mute ring tone from:
Enter the start of the period in 4-digit
format.
Mute ring tone until:
Enter the end of the period in 4-digit
format.
Please note
You can also set the call volume, the
ring tones and the advisory tones via
the menu (
¢ page 27).
Please note
During this period, you will continue to
receive calls from numbers to which
you have assigned a personalised mel-
ody in the directory (VIP).
