Selecting Certification Method and Creating Client Certificates

Upon selecting the Local CA that signed the Server Certificate, the Server and Client Certificate

dialog box is displayed. This dialog box reports the status of OSM's attempt to obtain information

from the Local CA specified in the previous step and prompts you to decide what certificate(s) the

guided procedure will use to register CLIMs.

The guided procedure automatically obtains information about the Local CA that signed the server

certificate and reports the status of that operation in the top portion of the dialog box under the

"Server Certificate" heading as either:

• Server Certificate obtained successfully

• Error!! Unable to obtain the Local CA that signed the server certificate

While the Local CA information is being obtained, the lower portion of the dialog box is inactive.

If an error occurs during this process, an error message is displayed in a pop-up dialog box, and

also in the "Messages" panel of the guided procedure main window.

Create or Use Existing Client Certificate

Once the Local CA information has been obtained successfully, you must choose between:
