At H06.20/J06.09, OSM Service Connection (T0682 H02 ACC) added support for:
• NonStop Volume Level Encryption, which provides a simple and secure method for registering
CLIMs with Enterprise Secure Key Managers. OSM support includes:
◦ A new guided procedure, launched from an action on the CLIMs (container) object, to
help you Register CLIMs with Key Managers.
◦ A new action on individual CLIM objects to Show CLIM/Key Manager Registration
Information.
◦ A new attribute on supported storage CLIM objects to indicate whether or not the CLIM
has been Registered with Key Managers.
NOTE: For more information on volume level encryption, including requirements and
steps that must be taken before using the OSM guided procedure, see the NonStop
Volume Level Encryption Guide.
• Using HP Insight Remote Support Advanced on multiple Central Management Servers (CMSs)
to provide fault tolerance for remote support of NonStop NS-series systems and NonStop
BladeSystems. For more information, see Insight Remote Support Advanced for NonStop,
located in the Support and Service collection of the NonStop Technical Library.
• BladeCluster Solution enhancements, including support for two multi-zone topologies, interzone
long-haul Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (DWDM) up to 25 kilometers (15.53 miles),
and short-haul up to 125 meters (410 feet).
• A new "Compatible" attribute value for the Firmware Compare State on the CLIM, SAS Disk
Enclosure, CLIM SAS Card, and CLIM FC Card objects. This value indicates that the current
firmware version running on the device is compatible with the firmware version file on the
NonStop system, even though the firmware version on the device and the version of the
firmware file are not exactly the same.
OSM also now includes VPROC information in the Default File Version attribute for those
objects and the CLIM NIC object.
• An enhancement to the Firmware Update action on SAS Disk Enclosure. Upon successful
completion, OSM now gives you the option of turning on the enclosure's LED, to help you
identify the enclosure for the purpose of power cycling it to complete the firmware update
process.
• Additional attributes under the Maintenance Switch object to support the HP ProCurve 2510
Switch. While there is no Part Number attribute displayed for this switch, there are new Model
and Configured System Name attributes to provide the necessary information.
• A new action, for HP Integrity NonStop NS16000 and NS14000 series servers only, called
Reclaim Memory Pages, located under the Logical Processor object.
• Requests for automated application system shutdown in the event of a power failure through
two new OSMCONF variables, SHUTDOWN_SCRIPT_NAME and SHUTDOWN_SCRIPT_TIME.
See the OSMINIO file for examples, and the OSM Configuration Guide for more information
on creating or editing a customized OSMCONF file. The Verify Power Fail Configuration
action on the System object now checks the validity of these two variables.
• Onboard Administrator firmware version is now displayed for NonStop BladeSystem Enclosures
as Bay 1 and Bay 2 OA Firmware Version attributes, located under Logical attributes.
• When establishing an OSM Service Connection session, OSM checks and informs you when
a server certificate for Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) does not meet all requirements for establishing
the trust relationship between the system console and the NonStop server.
